First of all if you actually go into a corporate Verizon store. You deserve what you get, misinformation, run around from a bunch of pimple faced, slack jawed, minimum wage lackeys who couldn't figure their way out of a wet paper bag with a bulldozer.

Forget about the NE2 little hint "its just a trick to get you a new 2yr contract" but you all just keep jumping over that cliff like lemmings.

Solution just find an authorized retailer, do a phone upgrade, you can sign a one year or two yr deal, you can get it two months before your origional contract end date and with an agent they need your business so you can get a good deal.

Your post just shows your stupity. Most of VZWs reps are highly educated and knowledgeable of the products we sell. VZW puts every rep through a detailed 3 week training course. All VZW reps are higly paid as well. I can almost bet the farm that most VWZ employees make far more than someone like youself.

What you said in your first paragraph seems more true to par for actual agents than VZW employees. (No pun intended for those who serve as agents). Agents work mainly off commission and no hourly pay (excluding those at Radio Shack and Circuit City). Most have very little knowledge of what they sell. They are just thrown into the mix to sell VZWs products. Agents will also sell used or refurbished phones. Once you buy your phon...

In responce to what you are saying about agents is true. There are also better agent stores that have been around for longer than some of the VZW corporate stores. I have worked for a agent for around two year and in my community we are more respected than the corporate location in my area. That is all the input I will put forward towards this issue.

I can tell you right now why jbgoff is typing this post.

Just like the MILLION customers that I have to deal with everyday. (Who make my job that much more annoying)...

I'll just take a wild stab...I'm sure it'll be right on the money.

He comes into the store with either a broken phone or one that he is sick of...he has no insurance, (not that he would be satisfied even if he could use it) demands a NEW phone...I'd say at the NE2 price...He is denied because he hasn't fullfiled the time or is trying to get it for a secondary line...he then throws a hissy fit like the little bitch that he is...and gives everyone else around him a bad experience...

Thank YOU jbgoff...read the contract, the terms, the upgrade policy...and stop being...

"WEBGEM78" is who actually made this post. I was just simply replying to it, my friend. No need to cuss. I am also a fellow VZW employee.

Just curious to see how my company is percieved by other folks in the Industry... Any opinion on how well Radioshack employees usually know their stuff and take care of the customer? I generally do have a pretty low opinion of Authorized Agents. A few posts back someone said "Agents work on commission (except Radioshack and Circuit City) Just a minor correction, Radioshack employee's do make commission, but we have an hourly guarantee to protect against bad sales times. Any feedback would be much appreciated! Gotta look out for my brand name.

Radio shack and Circuit city are a step above an authorized Agent. You guys sell our stuff and have some knowledge, but service...HA! You mail out phones for repair and piss off customers while we get your horror stories.

we're not horrib;e peopl, we just get sick and tired of day in and day out dealing with people who think the company owes them something. We're happy to help but when someone comes in and throws a tantrum and demands something or "I'll go to ******", that begins to get annoying. I'm sure every rep with any provider out there feels much the same way. Most people dodn't realize that It's YOUR phone, not ours. If something goes wrong expect help, not a company to always give you something for free!

I agree, you guys need to understand that verizon wireless only offers "service." We do not manufacture phones. We purchase phones from different phone manufacturers and then sell them to the customer. And we loose money on all of the phone sells. Like we purchase the lg-vx6000 for $195 a pop, and sell them out at $149.99. But if you have a problem we will try to help, just don't demand that we owe you something. It will get you nothing.. trust me.

This dope just described 80% of the authorized dealers. They give Verizon (and other cell companies) a bad name. They create a mess and VZW has to clean it up. Frankly, the consumer would be better off without authorized agents.

misinformed? you seemed misinformed..

read a lil further into your agreement. it states that your new for two is after 22 months.. which is 2 months prior to the end of your agreement. based on an extension of 2 years. your the tpye of person who declines insurance on your phone and complains when you get it wet and it wont work. and wonder why the MFG warranty doesnt cover the phone being wet.

i little advise.. before you open your mouth engage your brain. you only open yourself to harassment when you dont.

Minimum wage lackeys? I guarantee the person you dealt with makes more money than you do a year. One, they don't make anywhere near minimum wage. Second, commissions reach in the few thousands a month. Take a look at the employee parking lot. They drive better cars than you!
