Got this reponse from my Verizon Corporate Account rep:
It's in testing, but no where near a release date. I'm assuming that the accessories are the same for the LG VX 6000 that's why the stores are carrying them.

I would wait. Yes there is a lot of talk in here however, why would it be in so many magazines already if it were not right around the corner. Yes it is good marketing but they also do not want Irate customers. Probably why the v710 is not in an ads yet that one really is delayed. I bet the 7000 will be out really soon if you ask me. 😳
