VX7000 vs Samsung a670
Hi, for those who have seen both, what are your thoughts?...I have just gotten the a670 and like it, but wonder about the 7000. I really only need a phone, not a camera..but like a quality unit with great sound and reception....so, phone wise what do you think of the two compared?

I personaly would choose the 7000, in fact i'm going to as soon as it comes out. I have the lg 4400(the original before it became trendy) and i've loved it for 2 years. My girlfriend has the samsung a530, and i can only laugh everytime she complains about me having service and she doesn't or about a feature that i have and she doesn't. plus i've used the a670 and i'm not impressed, laggy video, horrible flash. battery life sucks, plus the samsung menu style sucks. just my opinion though. i had a friend (he has the lg 6000) who had an oportunity to get the a670 for like $30 and passed to wait for the 7000. it'll be well worth it.

I would say stick with the 670. I have had both the 530s and the 4400 and I have no idea what this guy is talking about. The 530 is way high quality, smaller, has a color external display and did everything my 4400 did and probably more. The video on the 670 is not great, granted, but the flash actually works quite well in low light situations. The 670 is very well built with a lot of attention to detail, I don't expect that from an LG product. Plus one of the other main things...the vx7000 is WAY larger then the 670. Samsung all the way.

I'm contemplating the a670 vs the 7000 as well. Does anyone have insight as to which brand (Samsung or LG) works better on the Verizon Network? I've heard a lot of praise for the LG (the 6000), but nothing in terms of the Samsungs.

I've had Verizon for about 8 years now and I've had Samsung phones for the last 4 years. I did try an LG the VX6000 and returned it after a few days. The places where I normally had reception with my Samsung, came in very poor. I like the 7000, looks cool but don't know if I'll try it. I guess I'll have to see it. I'm leaning towards the SCH-A770.
