Reason For Screwed Up Launch Date
Ok guys. For those that dont know why some places had the phone and some didnt here is why...The phone of course was scheduled for today as well as video messaging. Well when some manangers activated their demo phones there was a problem with the video messaging feature. When VZW headquarters found out about this problem they haulted the date until July 1st but unforunately some store had already had their brochures out as well as advertisements for the phone out. So these store were given the go ahead to sell the phone but were told to tell customers that video messaging would not be available until July 1st which is why it is not on the website. This is the same source that flamed everyone for even thinking that the phone could be moved out past the 25th. Are you more sure of this info? I'm not trying to be an ass, just always trying to figure out who has data and who has opinions.

Well I wasnt 100% right about the launch date nor was I 100% wrong 😛 I was just going by what my father was telling me because his stores were supposed to launch it yesterday and he didnt get the message about the delay until the night before and he told me yesterday. So I found out which states were selling them and I called the Operations Supervisor of the Houston, TX call center and he told me the reason for the screwed up launch date. He wasnt sure at first then he called around for me and got back to me later the in the afternoon. He specifically said that the stores that were selling them just didnt receive word of the launch delay and that video messaging will not be available until July 1st. FWIW, I'm a store technician for Verizon in Texas and our VX7000s didn't come in yesterday. We'll have them on the first, though.
The store manager says that we didn't get them because the warehouse didn't get them. She doesn't know why the warehouse didn't get them, though, so it must be something on LG's end. Possibly ESN mixups, as posited elsewhere on these boards.

North Eastern Pennsylvania has it. I held a demo yesterday. I wasn't impressed. They couldn't show me a working model. It has a camera and an assist light. They added a ton more size for not many more features. Meh. I'll pass.
