well i just went to the verizon site and looked at the phone...it said that a 2 year contract phone was 249.99 so if i bought it online it would only be 179.99 since they took the rebate right from the spot..but i also went to a Verizon WIreless store and they said that in total..it would cost 229.99 in the end with the rebates and 2 year contract...uh..y is there two different charges? is it cheaper to buy it online?

I just bought a 7000 through the site today for $79. I was eligible for the "new every two" price break on my primary line, and to get that price, I had to commit for another 2 years with Verizon. I couldn't get the $79 price for my wife's line -- it would have been the $179 you saw. Apparently the primary line on the account is the only one that qualifies for the big internet purchase discount. The customer service line told me that I couldn't get that good price in a store.

sounds like BS to me... I have 3 lines in my account total, with mine being the main #. I see online that I can get my 100 credit right now if i want too on one of the second lines. If your wife had the contract for 2 years, then I wouldn't settle for full price.
1. try going through the internet site clicking on "upgrade your phone" after you sign in. Switch to your wife's phone # and then see if the prices are with the $100 credit off. If not, then Something is wrong. Either you made a mistake on the length of time, she was not enrolled in the every 2 program, which she can easily enroll in at anytime with a helpful CS rep, or they made a mistake(which is hard to beleieve).

You should probably go into a store if all else fails.

The NE2 deep internet price cut applies to each phone that carries at least a $35 monthly charge for its service plan. Mine is the primary line and is allotted $35 of the monthly $55 charge. The wife's number is on that account and is counted as an additional line for $20 per month per the family plan agreement. Her line is on the NE2, and that's why the new second phone came with a $100 price cut but not the deep internet price cut. I talked this thru with a CS rep before seeing it in pixels on the VW website. Then I got another CS rep to verify it while I made the order on the web. It complies with the contract.

If you tell the CS rep that you want the phone immediately then they will comment that you can get the internet price and get your phone at a store..I got the NE2 and a $95 credit applied to my account..then i get the $70 rebate....so basically you need to wheel and deal them.. 🙂

what is a deep internet price cut? Let's talk actual numbers here. The vx7000 is $250 with a 2 year contract - $70 rebate - $100 NE2 =$80. Is the "deep internet price cut" make it even less then $80? I never heard of what your talking about unless it's just a miscommunication.
