Some people wouldn't recommend using BitPim either, everything were doing in regards to getting around Verizon's picture messaging and Get It Now are recommended we don't do.

I tried the VX-6000 cable and it takes some extra force to get it to click into position...I would not reccommend it as it seems like it will eventually break.
You have to mod it a little
What version of BitPim are you using?
I tried 0.7.10 that I've been using with my VX6000 and tried the latest, 0.7.13 but I get nothing but errors in the log when I send or try to receive data.
I can see the file structure fine and the phone is recognized in the Verizon/Smith Micro Phonebook software.
Any ideas?

I am using the latest version avialable. You might be experiencing those problems because of your settings. Make sure everything is set as if you were using you LG VX6000.
