LG VX-7000
EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THIS PHONE
i just got this phone yesterday... and lookin at it now i think immma return it.. heres why: first its big.. for those of you who havent seen it, its like the moto t720 but bigger (yea i compared the two) and the front cover looks PURPLISH BLUE! which is gay! the status lights that come on when someone calls or turns on/off flashes RAINBOW colors red,pink,purple,blue,green. IF SOMEONE CAN TELL ME HOW TO TURN THAT OFF PLS LET ME KNOW. this top and bottom banners on the main and front LCD are always red, cant change that.. and i as far as i can tell it doesnt play mp3s.. i know some of you know how it can.. pls let me know.. what else.. yea the camera does seem cheap.. alot of my friends who saw the phone said it does look cheap.. i think im...

Interesting perspective. I own one and I enjoy it a lot, especially having obtained a Samsung A790 and returned it (just didn't perform well on the CDMA side). I think its to each his own. I agree the red bars on the display are weird and should be changeable. However I'm curious, why does the camera "seem cheap"? What part of the camera? The only think you can see is the lens and that is almost identical to the one I saw on the A790. I think the way the holster connects at the same place as the camera is goofy, but I don't think the camera is any cheaper looking or working then the rest of the phone. 😎

well your right that the whole this is cheap.. but the rotating camera is kinda stupid because i thought that i would be able to take pictures with the phone closed and the image appearing on the front LCD (WHERE THE FLASh IS) but No.. yea the whole this is huge and just looks old and not really worth the price.. does anyone know of any other phones i should get instead i hear the samsung is tight.. lemme know

actually, you can take pics with the display closed just fine.
i for one like this phone a lot. no girl would opt for this cause of the size. but, being a guy with large hands, the size actually fits better than most of the smaller phones do.

with the phone closed, hold the camera button on the right side until the image appears in the front screen. hit it again to take the picture

I also like the phone very much. I suppose you could say its big compared to the LG 4500 or 4600 and some of the Samsung phones, but its still smaller than what I had (Nokia) and it its a good fit for me. I like having the microphone actually close to your mouth and not at your cheekbone.
I had a Samsung and it was terrible. Of course, I think it depends on preference, but many of the features I didn't like and are typical of Samsung. The LG is very user friendly, in my opinion, and is definitely a keeper.
Still would like to change the red bars on the screen. I'm headed to Korea land and will ask there if anyone knows how to change a few things!

1. If you don't like the color buy the black case that is made for the phone. It's a black leather case that verizon sells in the stores
2. In reference to lights: I like the lights. Try slient also my lights light up red, blue & white. I would like to have the rainbow effect. But I am happy with Red, Blue & White for now.
3. There is way to play the mp3 , you figure it out for yourself.

in response to mp3 ring tones, it can be done even from a computer, as long as they are short. i have 2 mp3 ringers on my phone that are 13 seconds each, long enough to ehar the song and answer the phone...Just email it straight to ur phone and then save it!!!

I have a question on how you got them on. Did you convert your files from .mp3 to .midi and then shorten the length? Also, did you email them from the vzwpix site or from an email account (ie yahoo)? Finally, what size were the files in the end?

Mike if you have a cable you can put 40 sec mp3's on it...Might be wortless to some people but I enjoy it.

Yes I do use the 6000 cable. Also yes I was the first one to successfully remove the banner (inside and out), add ringtones and wallpaper to the 7000 🙂

Where can I purchase Data Cables? Verizon's web site didn't have them listed. What type of data cables should I get? Also with cables , would it be possible for me to download my pictures I take with the phone to my laptop and not send them to an email address, or pix place to download that way?

An lot of people say that this is a cheap phone. Let me tell you that I know for a fact it is not. I was at the town fair tonight and was up about 80 feet in a fast moving swinging ride when it fell out of my pocket and landed on the ground. I thought for sure it was toast but just the opposite. There was not a scratch on it and all works just fine. And it landed with the flip open. ONE TUFF PHONE.
