I know how to send myself rintones. I just go to http://www.vzwpix.com and send them to my phone or do it through regular email.

But how do I create ringtones? Can I just donwload any midi file from the internet and send it?

And if I have an mp3, I have read in other posts I just change it from .mp3 to .midi, or do I need a program to do that? If so what program?

First, the file has to be under approxamately 300 KB. Make it mono instead of stereo, and cut it down to 30 seconds or less, and that should be adequate, but you may also have to lower the bitrate.

Now, you don't have to convert the file to anything. All you have to do is change the .mp3 extension to .mid. When you do this, the phone will recognize the file as a MIDI file, but it will play it as an MP3.
