really important
i want to purchase a vx7000 because i dont want to spend the money on an 8000 or wait until it comes out just for ev-do (which i wont use) or streaming (which i wont use much) or speakerphone (which i can manage to live without)...but i have one huge problem...under compare it says the phone does not have the capability of custom ringtones...wtf does that mean? will i not be able to download ringtones from get-it-now? or does it just mean i can't compose my own? or does it mean i just have to use the crappy ringers included with the phone and nothing else? i like how the 6000 lets you customize any ringtones...text message, call, restricted call, etc. etc. please help! thanks

Possibly what was meant was you can't compose a ringtone on the phone? You can do what everyone else here has said, plus you can record (like a voice recording) any ringtone you want. For example, you can record yourself screaming "RRRRRIIIIINNNNNNG" a few times and set that as a ringtone. Or you can get your brother to record, "Hey, its your knucklehead brother! ANSWER THE PHONE!" My favorite is to get your girlfriend to suggest something sexy as well as answering the phone for a ringtone. Of course, your wife might hate it.....
