I suck at decisions. 😕

I bought the V710 at radioshack but took it back as I found out that it will be $100 cheaper from verizon next week, I have to pay full retail.. so the V710 from verizon will still be $419.99 + $80.00 for the bluetooth hs.
$500.00 plus tax etc...

the VX 7000 is cool and I think I want to get it. I am also seeing problems with the V710 on that forum.. do you all love the 7000?

It is only $349.99 plus tax, I have a headset that will work with it already..

so is bluetooth really worth the xtra $150.00 taking the chance that the new motorola will be a let down like the past ones. my current lg vx4600 rocks. I am gonna give it to a friend..
what do you all think.. please be honest and dont bash me.. I n...

think of the 2 big difference though..

1. office quality speakerphone.
2. sd card slot for mp3 players and external memory.

i have lg 6000 and had motorola 720..

yes 720 was horrible compare to 6000..

and even know 7000 might be better as far as user interference then 710

but the speakerphone and the sd slot i think makes the difference.

Check out the V710 forum. There seems to be major problems with the phone and blue tooth.

I like the fact that the V710 has a speakerphone. That is probabley the best part of the phone. The expansion port and to be able to play MP3's don't mean that much to me.
For me it has to work as a phone first!

I guess you have to decide how you're going to use the phone. Will you really use the speakerphone part to make it worth the cost? An expansion port might be nice (again, depending on your projected use) but it will also add to the cost. You have to buy the card, right? Then you have to load the music. If you have lots of time, that might be worth the effort. Will you carry your phone around and use it as an MP3 player? Do you use one now? If yes, then what do you need another MP3 player for? If no, then maybe you don't need one at all?

I've used bluetooth for a headset and for synching my PDA. I'm not impressed. The synching works okay. However, there is a well known problem with b/t dongles and the supporting software workin...

😁
So I bought my 7000 today.. one word. WOW!

I am not even a bit thinking of the 710 anymore. this thing is great. it is fun it is neat and clear and those lights that everyone is talking about are FUNNY! hehe I can see how a business type could be annoyed by them however, I don't think that is the target market for this phone! ya think? It is great though. I really like the size. I am a big guy 6ft 1. and this feels right for me.. the numbers are crisp and spaced well too.. oh well.. I guess I'll have to right a user review in a day or two.. thanks all for your input.. 🙂
