That is so dumb. Speakerphoner has become a standard on most phones, why the hell would LG, a pretty smart company, what went through their heads when they made this desicion. Also, I know this sounds dumb, but any chance of a firmware update to enable speakerphone. I feel itr's an essential part of a phone. Any responces are appreciated.

I think I read a couple posts ago that because it was originally a bug in the phone, there won't be a firmware update to enable speaker phone. Not too sure though.

I hate to sound like an a** but my guess is there isn't a "speakerphone" because either LG or VZW concluded there wasn't enough market for that feature. From just casual observation on here and HoFo, I'd say they were right. A speakerphone can be replaced by a handsfree headset except for those very few times when more than one person needs to hear or be part of a conversation. Then you've got three way or more calling so what's the point?
I almost got the 4500 which has a speakerphone and I thought that was a cool and useful feature. Then thought about it some more, talked it over with others, and realized it would be really almost useless.
