Trimode or Digital

The vx7000 will be trimode.....but be aware that with a trimode phone it will accept the STRONGER of the 2 signals.......meaning for example lets say that digital gets 2 bars......and analog gets 3 bars strenth well then it will switch to ANALOG....then you will start complaining that your phone sound reception sucks...when its just the clear cut difference between analog and Digital........ Thats why most newer phone are trying to get away from ANALOG. And thats why SPRINT is pound for pound the BEST AND CLEAREST SOUNDING...its the only ALL DIGITAL NETWORK. RECEPTION and SOUND QUALITY are 2 different things!!! I would reccomend try a all digital phone first try it out see if it works where u need it With VERIZON odds are it will work every...

I believe SPRINT phones are tri-mode by design. That way they will work (ie. roam) when off their digital network, which can be very costly. In the case of Verizon, some of their phones are all digital, others tri-mode. Its then up to the buyer to decide if features are more important than reception.
