Response # 2 from LG

This one has a general idea on release date. I''m sure if I sent another email, they would say it was cancelled...or it comes out tomorrow... who knows.

Well found out today that the 9900 has been pushed ahead to June 15th, they updated the powerpoint pesentation.

In ads

Today I was standing on the corner of 34th St. and 7th Ave looking at one of those tv scrolling ad screens, that was mounted to the subway when I see and ad for LG phones. The 7000 was the ad featured showing how the camera eye rotated, the other phone displayed was the L1200 which is an LG phone for Cingular.
Just thought I would report a "new phone sighting", this could be a good sign for the 7000 release.

Advertised by LG in NYC

There are digital screens by some of the subway entrances in NYC. LG is advertising the VX-7000 and highlighting its features on a few of these in midtown. I guess it is not too far away now...

Trimode or still All Digital?

Does anyone know if this is going to be Trimode?

There are only 2 things I don't like about the 6000.
1) It is not a Trimode Phone (wont work in Analog only areas)
2) No two way speaker phone

I can live w/o the speaker phone but I don't like the idea of being limited to traveling only where there is a digital signal available. So much for vacations in Mexico ☹️

Get 7000 soon or wait for 8000?

I hopped on this board pretty recently bc I'm up for a new phone w/ verizon. I thought the 7000 was pretty sweet, but now I'm reading about the 8000 and and tempted to wait for that. I'm currenty rockin the v60 so I'm eager to get rid of it and get a color/camera/video phone (non of which I have now).

I've heard variable release dates for both, what's the general estimate for the releases? From what I've heard, if the 7000 comes about as soon as June I think I'd rather grab that instead of waiting for beginning of next year for the 8000.

You all seem pretty informed, any suggestions?

Concerning NE2....

As some may or may not know, I do work for verizon wireless. While its true that a customer can only redeem the NE2 credit up to 6 months after their contract end date, Im sure someting can still be done. If Verizon has had a customer for 10 years (even before Verizon), Im willing to bet that we would bend over backwards to maintain you as a customer. Ive seen it a million times. This is the only company Ive worked for where they will do what it takes to maintain our customers (within reason). Even if you cannot get anywhere with cst service, ask to speak with Loyalty Management. They are the ones who can make exceptions. Hope this helps.

Verizon's web site - everything is out of stock

Anyone know what is going on with Verizon's website? It lists 16 of their 22 "phones" as being out of stock?
