when is it comin out??
does anyone know when its gonna be for sale in america, and if its gonna be for tmobile? and if not what about the nokia 7610, when and who is it gonna be?

Just got back from Miami where Nokia gave everyone of us this phone. They told us they are going to launch it in about 2-5 weeks for T-Mobile.

Are you sure it was the 6620? Tmobile hasn't released the 6600 yet. It'd be great to see the 6620 in my hands instead of my beat up T28W.
I read another post that said April is the month for new plans and phones from TMOB. Hope so!!!

my bad...it is actually the 6600 they are going to release, but with the new software...played with it for a couple of days and it is flawless...i cant wait til they give me one in a month for myself...tmobile also has some new phones comin out around the same time, but they havnt said anything yet.

Do you know when the real carries (ATTWS & Cing) will launch this bad boy?

Real carriers? Cingular is buying out ATT and tmobile is on the same network pretty much as cingular. they both rent from the same 3rd party company for a majority of their towers. tmobile has actually passed up cingular on towers in the US and cing will prob get axx to this phone 2-4 months after tmobile since they will have exclusive rights on it just like the v300.

It was my understanding that Tmobile will issue the 6600, not the 6620, as they are a 1900 band service and has no need for the 850 band that the 6620 has.. Did I miss something?

hey tmobile guy, i live in the miami area. like 30 minutes away. now where was that place givin away free nokia phones? i want to get one too. and especially the nokia 7610, any know abouts of that phone for t-mobile?

no word on the 7610, just found out they are now getting the mot v600 though as another new phone, they also have 2 more phones they cant talk about until further notice, but i shall keep ya guys informed when i found out...boss just got the v600....still no like it, lol

T-Mobile will be getting the 6600, not the 6620, as they have no EDGE network. ATTWS will release the 6620 in June/July, and this EDGE version will be 3x faster on the data network than the 6600 will be for T-Mo. Other than that, the phones are similar, but why would you want to go slower....?

yea but even if it wont be sold by t-mobile you can still put a t-mo Sim card in there and it would work perfectly. and instead of the 6600 already out for t-mobile the 6620 looks better and has an mp3 player and 12 Mb internal memory. so don't buy the 6600 now wait this summer to buy the 6620.

Hey there. A launch date for Cingular hasn't been posted yet, but they will DEFINETLY have this phone. I work in tech support for Cingular and we had a Nokia training class yesterday and they showed us what this phone can do. It's awesome!

Wow! That's sooo great. I have been needed to get a new cell phone and plan as soon as possible, but I really want this phone. I've been wanting to sign w/ cingular, and I am just so happy that they are going to have this phone. Thanx for the news phonsweetie, I been looking all over the net to here somthing like this.
