PTT
We sorely need new PTT phones available. It would be nice too if you could get one for less than $200. If verizon wants people to accept PTT plans, they need three key factors in place: 1) more handset selection. 2) cheaper handsets. This goes hand in hand with 1. It just doesn't make sense to me why the V60p is so damn expensive. You can get a camera phone for the same price or less. Make a PTT phone for $100 and people will want to buy it. 3) monthly plans that work for consumers. Verizon is pushing for family plans, additional lines. People are already comparing Verizon's $20 additional line charge with other carriers who add a line for 10 or 15. Its pretty absurd to expect a Mom, Dad, and two kids to pay $60 per line for push to talk. That would be $240/month. A current four phone family account with unlimited in-network would only be $110. Why would anyone spend that kind of money for unlimited back and forth when you have IN network and three way calling and you get the same effect. The only other suggestion I have for verizon is to allow people to purchase PTT handsets without activating the PTT plans. Until you get more customers with PTT in their pocket, there is no benefit to having that crazy high PTT montly bill. You can't talk to anyone. If consumers could own a PTT phone and use a normal monthly calling plan on it until everyone else they knew had a PTT phone, then all of a sudden they would all realize that they could be PTTing and they would all call in and convert to PTT plans. Eventually I hope we can PTT across carriers. If US carriers would adopt Kodiak networks solution we could, then verizon customers would get PTT so they could talk to business partners and friends who were keeping their nextel.

Well I think you need to do some research Verizon does have family share plans for PTT and also you can ask for a phone up grade to get a cheaper rate on a phone. The share plans are on there web site www.verizonwireless.com
People who think Nextel is awesome need to leave there back yard and travel with it. It sucks
