Send later
I asked this with a few times with no answers other then the phones send later is not for this. Well before anyone says that this is what it is for.
Can people test the send later function on their text messages? This option is on the v710 when you hit the menu key on the last screen before a text message is sent.
If you could send a text message to yourself to be sent 1hr 5 min from the time you start this test.
If you could post
When you sent the message
What time you had it set to send to yourself
And what time you got the message
And what state you are in.
I have about 15 gmail invites so if you do test and want an invite ill give you one

I sent a test message at 9:18 AM to be delivered on 13-SEP-04 10:22 AM and no message yet and I am in Baltimore, Maryland.

Has anyone not gotten g-mail acct that have done the testing of send later for me?
I still have 20 or so invites so if you did not get it invite let me know . I think we should be all set though allot of the time invites get stuck in junk mail in hotmail and yahoo. but I can IM them to you if needed.

test the send later on your v710 and post results just trying give people something to helping me out on the v710 this thread is 100% a v710 problem thread but thanks for your input

MrCtdare, et al. "Send later" is still later than now... I have not seen them yet, either the 2 65 minute or 2 10 minute "laters"... and I am tending to think I will not. Is this worth a Verizon HelpDesk call? I would use this feature as a method of "paging" or "calling" me out of meetings that I did not want to attend. ;-) I will try to call them at some point... I guess one or two other fellows had it working in other area(s)...
As I said it works for my bluetooth headset, syncing my schedule, my alarms, my contacts, and my "In Like Flint" ring etc. SO I'm happy.

I did call VerizonWireless for help on the "later" email issue. They did not think it was a real issue as their documentation did not describe it. They put it in as an "enhancement" request.
If needed, I can take the phone in and show the tech at the store that it does not work.
I am not happy with their response.
But I am still happy with what does work on my phone.
BTW - I did not get the invite at [email protected]

This tells me that the phone sent it right away, and the towers/network/whatever stores it and is supposed to send the message to me at the time i tell it to. I'll bet timezones and location have a lot to do with whether this works or not.
