How do I use mp3s as ringtones?

I just got TFcard/reader...I heard I have to change the file name to .mid or .midi??? Can anybody help? Thanks!

don't change. just drag mp3's to the shared/sounds folder on tf card

From what I remember, you have to transfer the MP3 to the phone's memory, then go to media gallery, go to the MP3, and hit the main menu, and select "Apply as Ring tone"

When yougo to select the ring tone you want to use, you will see that MP3 as an option.

I have no idea if all these steps are needed, but they work for me...

You can apply the mp3 as ringtone, it will make it your default ringtone. You can also select it manually for individuals in your phonebook or individual settings. As soon as the mp3 is on the phone's memory it is recognized for ringer use.
