My phone flipped the F*$% out today
I had my alarm set, as well as a back up event reminder (I tend to sleep through things when Im hung over), so I whacked the snooze button a couple of times and then rolled over awhile later and saw that my phone was switching between the alarm status screen and the event reminder screen very fast (~switching back and forth between the two and back again within one second).
Hitting end or clear didnt do anything, then finally i was able to turn it off. I couldn't turn anything on until 4-5 hours later (up till then all that happened was my keypad would lite up for some odd reason). Finally I got the HelloMoto with the flower in the background opening screen, then it'd reset again. I thought it was still broke, but i got lucky charging it...

Sounds like alcohol & cell phones don't mix! 🤣

Sounds like it just froze up. Sometimes happens when two functions occur at the same time(alarm and event reminder). the battery then died and charged back up reseting the phone and all was good. To prevent this from happening power cycle daily. If it does happen again, pull the battery to resaet the phone.

Came across your post while searching for why my phone did some weird things today (1st time in 2 months)....outer screen not come on when phone rings, other things....today was the 1st time using the alarm....so, based on seeing that your post involved using the alarm and then experiencing problems, am wondering if there is a tie-in to using the alarm creating lockup and other functions to go haywire....
Wondering if anyone else has had similar problems.

My outer screen fails to light up all the time. After all, It's A Motorola!™ But seriously, I've never used the alarm feature. I just set my phone not to answer when I open the flip, so when a call comes in and the outer display decides to play a game of johnny tight-lips with me, usually opening the flip will kick the phone into realizing that I want it to do something. Rebooting seems to solve the problem for awhile, as it does with most quirks.
All part of the pride of ownership. 🙂 Really, I do like the V710, but like any good MOT phone, it's got "issues".
