VMO/Outlook Sync feedback
I had posted asking about the differences between VMO and MPT for Outlook Sync but no one answered. I could only assume noone had tried both. I am now learning by trial and error and thought I'd share what I learned about VMO.
VMO will sync with Outlook for contacts only. It does not sync the calendar. Contact sync was effortless. Load the disk and 2 minutes later I had the software loaded and was able to easily recognize (running XP Home) the v710 and sync the contacts. However, VMO does not take advantage of the multiple entries per name capability of the phone. While VMO does recognize multiple entries per name in Outlook, when it transfers that data to the phone, it creates a seperate phonebook entry for each number. For examp...
