Update V710 suxors with BMW bluetooth

I posted before that the V710 does not work with the BMW bluetooth. In response to one poster's suggestion, I bought the Motorola V600 and paired it with my BMW.

Amazing grace, the V600 not only works (does not repeatedly connect/disconnect) but it also transferred the phone book to the car.

Now I have proof that the V710 bluetooth suxors and I am going to start an email campaign to tell Motorola that their V710 is crap and that they need to fix it.

It pisses me off that the V600 will cost me $75 bucks and it works vs. the V710 which cost me $200 bucks and it does not work.

Everyone with BMW's should write Motorola to get them to fix the problem.

The underlying problem with the BMW Bluetooth seems to be with the V710 firmware shipping with the Verizon phones. Verizon has held back the data transmission features fro "business reasons".

Does your V600 work on a Verizon network? The Motorola V600, V525, V620, V551 all work fine with fully functional Bluetooth, but those phones are only available through AT&T, Cingular or Sprint. Verizon does not support them, only the V710.

If you got your V600 to work on Verizon, great, let me know, otherwise, I'm headed to Cingular for a V600 or V515 and then to small claims court with Verizon.

The V600, V525, V620, V551 are all GSM phones and will never work on Verizon's CDMA network. They are incompatible technologies.

In order to test my theory, I actually bought the V600 and signed a contract with AT&T. They have a 30 day cancellation period, so I figured what the hell.

So no, it will not work with Verizon. I agree, either Verizon or Moto is responsible for bastardizing the V710 so its bluetooth is retarded and does not work with the car properly.

It is interesting that both Verizon and Moto are claiming they are waiting for the other to "fix" the problem.

If Moto has the synching and data transmission working on all of their other phones except the one they make for Verizon, doesn't that say that Verizon is the malicious party?
