It isn't any better ... maybe a tad cooler.
It looks exactly like the Verizon one except it is made from neoprene instead of leather.

Maybe this one won't be better but... I bought a vzw and a body glove case for my vx6000 and the body glove case fit like a glove and had no extra bulk and the vzw case was oversized and had lots of extra fabric and looked geeky in my opinion. I think the vzw case is pretty decent for the v710 but I bet the body glove case is better.
