Format Failed.
OK I got a 128mb Sandisk Transflash card today. I powered off the phone and plugged it in.
Powered it back on and tried to format the card from the phone. It tries for a second, then says "Format Failed. Try Again?"
I can put the card into the SD adapter and put it in my laptop and see that it is formated FAT with 120mb available.
I have tried powering off the phone, pulling the battery, reseating the card, ...
I still get "Format Failed. Try Again?"
Anyone have a suggestion?

you sure the card is locked into the phone, right? you can' tpull it out, you have to puch down to pop it out...

Yep it is in there.
The phone knows it is there too. If you pull the card out the entire TRI-mmc entry disapears from the Storage Device menu.

Tried it.
Formats just fine (FAT) on the computer in the SD adapter. I can even copy files to it without a problem.
I tried moving a sound file from the phones memory to the card ... the the phone showed that it was doing it ... but there was nothing on the card when I put it back into my PC.

take it to VZW store and show them what it does... ask to try it in a different phone...

Yeah after work I will go over to the store and try to format my card in one of their live demo phones and see what happens.
