Known Bugs and is there a solution?
The V710 is the best Motorola phone I've seen, but it's not perfect. There are two things that could make the phone the best phone depending when or if there is a ROM Upgrade.
The first bug, The Bluetooth function of the phone will only connect to accessories, not to Bluetooth network cards or PDAs. They probably did this to make you purchase the Trans Flash Card.
And the other bug is the speaker phone, it cannot be activated during a phone conversation. The speaker phone must be activated through the voice recorder option and the phone will say "speaker phone On". From this point you can than make or receive a call using the speaker phone.
Rumors of the ROM upgrade is possible in November, but does anyone know this for a FACT?

Speakerphone bug? Just press and hold the speakerphone button to turn it on or off during a call.

Cool.. thanks... but I would still like it to connect to my PDA so I can surf the web on my PDA instead at Hot Spots and off load the pictures using the bluetooth instead of the flash card.

Actually it will connect to a pda for network access. You cannot transfer files between the phone and a pda or computer via bluetooth. However, the dial-up networking BT protocol does work. I can surf the web and get e-mail from my palm tungsten t2 through the phone via bluetooth.
The firmware update may or may not add BT file transfer capability. Verizon is apparently opposed to this because it would cost them messaging revenue. We will just have to wait and see.

ok, looks like I have to update my B/W PDA or just wait for my new one I'm getting for Christmas

The real problem is that the volume is too low on headphones. What good does it do to play mp3s if you can't hear them. This problem must be addressed.
