Motorola V710
Sync V710 w/PC using USB cable
Okay, I think I am losing it!! I have the USB cable, I have the phone, I have the mobile phone tools from Motorola downloaded for $29.00. I can not get the phone to communicate with the software. I keep seeing initializing. What am I missing, besides my brain?

There have been a variety of issues with this process. Some of the issues revolve around which cable you have (futuredial vs Moto oem).
I can offer you two of the most basic issues: make sure you have run live update (MPT menu> help> live update) to version 2.21f (probably 2 times) or your phone won't be recognized. Some have had to manually install drivers. Also, if you did not start with at least v 2.20b you may have to first run the regular update to get to that version before running "live update".
Search this forum and the HoFo vzw v710 forum as the multiple sub connectivity issues and fix approaches have been addressed.
