Regarding the Firmware Update

A very relaible poster on WA posted this....

"According to what I've heard, the firmware update has already been delivered to VZW for testing. Because of the extent of the changes, VZW is going to put this update through the full test process - that, combined with the fact that other phones (V26X, A840, V65p) have testing priority at the moment, means you can look for the update no earlier than November. VZW is going to push to get the new phones out on the shelves for the holiday buying season before they revisit existing phones."

Not surprising... and we've been hearing "november" for a long time now, so that's kosher... Now if your informant can tell us what they fixed in the FW update, I'll paypal you (and him) beer-money. 🙂

Yes what they fixed and possibly what they "broke"(hopefully broke nothing).

They won't admit to "breaking" anything... they're just "securing our business model" by encrypting TF contents...

Correct me if I'm wrong but the SD standard was designed around DRM style stuff... and the TF card is a SD chip in a micro package... so some bad **** (tm) could go down there...
