I'm not quite sure what's the excitement in your post. If you look through the posts in this forum, you'll see that you can get the V710 extended battery with door from Verizon Wireless' B2B accessory store for $32.49 ($49.99 - 35% off). Here's a link.

No, the one on the Verizon site includes the battery door/cover. Several people have ordered it from there and reported receiving the door/cover with it.

I just bought 2 extended batteries from
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2b/ewelcome, » one for me and one for my sister.

The price is $32.49 + tax and free 2nd day shipping.

When you get to the site there will be 2 motorolas in the list. Choose the first. it will have both the ext and OEM batteries for reduced price.

I ordered monday (27th) and got it today (29th).

I got mine about a week ago for the same price (about 33.00 bucks). And yes, it does come with the expanded back cover.

I don't see the extended battery on the site tonight though - just the standard one.

By the way, the time until discharge is considerably longer with the extended battery. I ran a test to just let the phone sit and it lasted about 4 days (very limited usage). Well worth the money.

I keep the old battery (and cover) in a drawer. If I'm going to be heading somewhere where I'll need all the battery I can bring along - it's easy - just charge 'em both up ahead of time.
