Is there anyway to get rid those terrible pics that came with the phone?

you know, I remember reading, I think on Hofo that somenoe did find a way to get rid of them. I think you have to use software that gets into the programming of the phone. I stumbled across it before I got the phone and I don't think I saved the link. I'd search for it now, but I just don't have the time adn the search results are crowded with people asking and nobody having answers. But I know there is at least one post with someone doing in successfully. I don't know why it hasn't caught on, maybe it's a difficult process or a bunch of crap, no really sure. But this forum seems to go through generations, so to speak, so I think people who started out here don't stay active here and they are replaced by a whole new round of experts.

Yes you can if you want to do the following.

Go to radioshack or wherever and get the Futuredial cable for connecting your v710 to pc. Only the futuredial cable works because its not really USB - its serial (even though its a usb connector). The USB cable does from Motorola does NOT work.

Then download Bitpim 0.718 or the latest version. Once you have it installed on your PC ... you can go to the 'file structure' tab. You will then see a tree veiw of the v710 files. Go to the Motorola/Shared/Pictures folder and erase all the .jpg's that arent your own.

Thats all.
