Not sure if everyone knows and/or cares, but I'll inform.... After I found out from a verizon rep. that while using my phone as a modem I would only be charged minutes from my account during peak hours and during non-peak hours, I could use it unlimited. So, I purchased the kit and received the kit yesterday and tried it out. Surprisingly, I was able to connect and download at speeds up to 70kbps. Pretty impressive it your out alot traveling. Especially on weekends.

*****NO - DON'T DO THAT*****

There are two modes for the mobile internet. The "Quick-to-Net" mode and the "National Access" mode. The former works at 14kpbs; the latter works at up to 144kpbs. The former is free. The latter will incur major costs.

So, if you are getting 70 kpbs, you are going to be charged a ton of $$. (At least you should be; Verizon's billing system is messed up so you could maybe get away with this). If I were you, I'd stop using the fast internet right now.
