First, did you format your card in the PHONE? Are you turning your phone OFF each time you insert and remove the TF? THe phone is not hot swapable so you MUST turn it OFF each and every time or you will corrupt the files and they will be unrecoverable.

Are you checking the two different storage devices on the phone? When you put files on TF and then put TF into phone, to access what is on the card - you must menu - switch storage device. This must be done at each function. For example: Menu, Media Gallery, Sounds will show you sound files on your phone. If you want to see and play what is on your tf you must switch storage device from the sounds menu. In other words, Menu, media gallery, sounds and you see the sound file list - THE...

Thanks red for responding.I did check by switching devices and yes I am turning the phone off each time. I just can't understand where that 6200kb of info went to, those pictures are not there yet the increased memory usage says it is.can't figure this one out.

And what is the HoFo Official V710 FAQ thread -and where can it be found?

I too have formatted my TF card and stored music files which are not being read on the phone. I'm beginning to wonder if my card is bad, as after formatting and renaming the card, the revised name is never shown.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers.

Have read re-naming does nothing. Here is the link to the HoFo Official V710 FAQ.

it is structured differently so scroll the page and then advance to page 2,3 etc. Some of the links may not work because HoFo moderators merged the how-to discussions into one thread. Most links do work and take you to other discussions that cover the referenced issue.

Thanks, Redrockhiker.

The HoFo thread is a great resource, no doubt! Unfortunately, I couldn't find direct responses to my particular issue.

I'm wondering if it could be the format of the songs I'm trying to play on the phone. What I've done is copy songs from a CD to my computer using Windows Media Player - which saves files using a .wma file extension. Files are then easily transfered to the TF card. However, while the phone notes that roughly 40% of the card's capacity has been utilized, it doesn't "see" any files. Could it be that it simply can't read this particular file type?
