New Pavlovian Behavior

For those who have ventured into getting their V710 to talk to their car (I'm driving a Prius w/bluetooth capability with some limitations) I am going through a Pavlovian training process whereby the only way I know that a phone call is arriving while in the car is that the radio/CD sound shuts down (NOW the display screen is telling me that a call has arrived but of course, being the ultimate safe driver, my eyes are on the road). Therefore I am in training to respond to the radio/CD cutting off and instinctively answering the phone call. In about 2 months I'll probably be doing the same thing in the house and at that time I will start therapy!! 😁 As has been commented on in this forum previously we are awaiting a firmware upgrade from M...

I think someone noted on an Acura board that the TL doesn't do an incoming ring unless you use certain ringtones on your V710. I noted similar behavior, when using MP3 ringtones with my BT headset - instead of a "notification" beep in my headset I'd get an endless ringing loop that couldn't be "answered". If you're not using a standard ringer with your Prius, try setting to something like "Notify" (which is a very basic Midi ring) and see if that helps.

I have a BMW with a BT kit. I find that the only way to be notified of the incoming call with the v710 is to have it set for "vibrate, then ring".
