I was wondering, can any gsm phone work outside of the united states, or doe's it have to have a certain frequency or certain amout of gsm bands, also can it work anywhere around the world with any type of gsm carrier or is At&t phones the only ones that can work around the world. Let me know as much information as possible on this subject please.

I know for a fact that GSM phones work outside the US. You can get a more elaborate answer in this area by going to the GSM carrier forums and if you look to the left vertical menu of this page's website, click on carriers and click on one of the GSM forums and ask this question there.
