First, this has nothing to do with firmware!

This release is about a series of short videos shot an compiled with v710 camera phones. I have personally seen this, and almost forgot about it, until my copy of FierceWireless talked about a press release, and linked me to the page above. Nothing spectacular, but interesting none the less.

I stated that in the message, that I had seen it before, like back in June as a matter of fact.

But I just wanted to post it since, it was a press release regarding this phone.

Makes you wonder, why they released the details so late though?

Kinda like the phone? 😉

I dont know if you all know about this 30 sec mp3 free music clip trick or not, but here it is. I can not take credit for this, I actually found it on another forum and think its worth spreading.
For free 30 sec mp3 music:
-Go to Walmart.com, search under Music, do any kind of specific search like sound effects or broad search like rock.
-Click on any album and scroll down, walmart allows you to listen to 30 seconds of almost every song on every album.
-To listen first just left click on the side on the song where it says "mp3 audio" winamp will pop up and allow you to hear it.
-If you like it than right click on the "mp3 audio"...and save it as either a mid, or as a mp3 than convert it to a mid.
-Open your music fil...

Nine,

Thanks for your message...I am doing that, and its working great!

Just a quick question. Why can't I do mp3 sounds? For instance, I have a lot of South Park sounds that I want to put on my phone. I change them to MID format, and text them to my phone. I get the txt message, but it is in a "evrc" format on the phone, and I cannot get them to play. It says that "file type not recognized".

Help! Any thoughts?

From what you're telling me I think its b/c you are sending it in a text message. In order to get the sounds it can only be sent and recieved as a pix message. - [email protected]
The other thing I discovered it you can disguise mp3's to play as .mid on your phone, but you can not sucessfully disguise WAVE files. For whatever reason a converted wav will not play on the v710. Hope this helps 😁

Nine,

Okay, I see what your saying. I have been sending the file to vzwpix.com, BUT they have been WAVE files. Gotcha now!

I am going to check online for sounds in mp3 format.

Thanks!
