Yet another bug...

I keep my phone on vibrate all day when I am at work. Much to my surprise, I was in a meeting and suddely heard the theme song to "Dallas", which is a ring I use for someone in my Contact list. I was under the impression that if the phone is on vibrate, ALL calls will be received in this manner.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Brian

one thing is that i've noticed, if you have it plugged in, it will be on one style, then when i unplug it, it goes back to loud instead of staying on vibrate....

It happens to me at work too..

Yes, I've noticed that as well. But with the issue I mentioned earlier, it actually shows that it's still on vibrate, yet if a caller has a specific ring associated with him'her, it plays that ring even if it's on vibrate.

make sure in vib detail that ringer ID is set to OFF... this is a common problem.

Problem solved! I had no idea that was even there. Thanks for your help with this!

I've had mine do strange things like that as well. I would expect that all rings would be silenced when on vibrate. Also - when not on 'vibrate', I occasionally have an incoming call which is NOT in my directory, ring using one of the default ringers which came stock on the phone -- but is NOT selected as the default. Go figure!

I haven't figured out any pattern to this yet.

restricted or private calls have different "default" ringers.

Go to Main Menu > Settings > Ring Styles > Make the Style = Vibrate Move down to Vibrate Detail and OK or Change. Move down to Ringer IDs and set it OFF.

If Ringer IDs is set to ON the Ring Style will be ignored and the Callers Ringer ID will be used instead.

this answer as most of the bugs you people keep coming up with are right in the little manual that came with your phone
