shorten the filenames. and make sure they're CBR files.
...
obviously, I am not as up to date as you what is a CBR file? I have the file name shortened and converted through itunes to .mid files but no luv.
...
nonono... leave it as mp3.
CBR == constant bitrate... 32 64 96 128 160 192 256 320 etc....
VBR == good better best
the phone won't play vbr files... re-encode to CBR.
Defrag the card too...

I already had changed it to 64 bit rate in itunes when I was following the instruction from someone else on this forum. As for defrag'ing I have no clue to how to do that either. As mentioned earlier not as informed.
But in the directions mentioned on another thread they instruct to convert to thru itunes to mp3 then convert to .mid.
I am now going to try it without the changing it to .mid. And I have the song on :25 length
...
the mp3 to mid thing is only for e-mailing them to the phone as a ringtone attachment.

after incerting the card in phone.
I am going to media gallery,
then sounds,
and the file is not showing up. All it shows is two from the factory and two songs i bought off of modtones.
Where and how do I find the songs on the card? I feel like this is a complete shame on this deal. I have talked to 3 different verizon employees and they have no clue either.

When you're in 'Sounds' -- press the menu key -- then scroll down to 'Switch Storage Device'.
Select 'TRI-mmc' to look at the card files.

menu, switch storage device... you're still in the phone. 🙂
