217 area code is central Illinois... Champaign and Springfield. Mot does not have substantial cellular operations in that area. If it were 847 area code you might have something. The other thing is that any of these posted numbers are likely just public relations. They don't have a great deal of knowledge about product releases... and they don't set policy. So you would be getting an empty shirt. I suspect this is an outside PR contact.

I did a little more research on that location... and was suprised by what I found.
Location is on the North End of University of Illinois Campus -- the engineering section of campus. It is a Motorola location... and they do actually do some bluetooth software engineering there for incorporation into phones. I suspect code may actually go from there up to other groups for incorporation into overall cellphone code. So they may just be a piece of the puzzle. I still also suspect that the phone number is PR inside Motorola (it is rare that they slip and post someone other than that). Anyway you might try it to get some status.
