My V710 Froze, LCD Blank
as I was storing a phone number the entire lcd went blank, yet the keypad stayed lit. The phone wouldnt respond or power off. I tried to get the battery cover off but for some reason I couldnt but then I got someone else to do it removed the battery, put it back powered it on and now it works.

Same thing happened to me last night as I was trying to subscribe to the WAP 2.0 service. I was on the accept screen scrolling down the Agreement page when the same thing happened - screen blacked out, keypad stayed lit. Removed battery and powered on and all was well.

Turn the phone off and back on. Do this once a day to refresh the connection with the network, and reset the phones software (like a fresh boot up for your PC).
