Okay, I'm still kinda getting mixed reviews on the 710. I know there are a lot of people out there that are just dead against this phone, but is it really that bad. My sister just purchased the LG-VX6100 and this thing is pretty good. I don't know anything about LG though. So my question once again is.....If the phone is going to be used primarily as a phone and maybe a camera function here and there, which phone would you recommend. The V710 or the LG VX-6100. Thanks for the help!

Which would I recommend? Neither!! 😡 I would go with the Audiovox 9900!! 😁

Why?
1. Much better reception, works in areas the others don't
2. Fabulous screen, high brightness and color
3. Better battery life
4. Produces excellent camera pictures outdoors
5. Ease to download ringtones
6. Very good voice dialing
7. Very nice speaker phone, clear and loud
8. Menu system very user friendly
9. Nice scheduler
10. Can assign ringtones or picture ID to callers
11. Lost of cool features to play with, but no Bluetooth which is not that big of a deal
121. An unbeatable price at $69
13. Excellent quality, made by Toshiba
14. And last but not least, everything on it WORKS!!

The bad news....you better hurry, they are ...

It all comes down to personal tastes:
Toyota or Honda? David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar? Fries or onion rings? etc...

The V710, 9900, & 6100 are ALL good phones; each one has pos & neg issues with them. The V710 will do everything that the 6100 does, but the additional features have issues. If bluetooth isn't a big deal to you, why pay extra for it? If video capture isn't a big deal to you, why pay extra for it? If TF card isn't a big deal do you, well you get the point.

I'm a Moto head, that's all I've owned since bag phones came out. I really want to like the V710, but with all the negative press, I'd have to suggest waiting if you can until the bugs are fixed. If everything worked with this phone, it would be great, which it may ...

Everything looks great, except if you need Bluetooth to synch with your car and Verizon is the only carrier that covers most of your usage areas.

Then what?

Well this helps! I am definitely going back to VZW from NEXTEL. I live in the Northeast and VZW worked very well in the past around here. Sounds like I'm going to wait on the fixes to the 710 since I can't get out of my contract until the middle of December. Who ever would have thought that buying a cellphone would be such a p.i.t.a.
