What Is All This Talk About Firmware????(Newbie I Guess)
I'm a little new to this maybe, but I'm reading a lot about people wondering when the new "Firmware" is coming out for the V710. What does that mean, and is this something I need to take care of for my V710?
About a little more than a month ago I walked in to Verizon totally knowing already that I wanted the V710, the sales rep told me that they were recalled and they wouldn't be back in for about a month or so. I also noticed that verizonwireless.com also took the phone off their site, first saying they were "out of stock", then just removing it altogether. So I waited....And waited....Then I noticed that they went back up on the website and my local store was getting them in a week or so, so they said. So I ordered it instead as I am q...

New phones are now released at most stores. They were pulled because of camera issues, but thats fixed now. Firmware, software whatever you call it is the phones operating system (like windows for your PC). They put updated out changing features, fixing bugs, etc. When the software is finally released I'm sure the forum will be loaded with posts about what it does, etc. So bee on the lookout.
