Would it be possible to use the a840 firmware on the v710? The hardware(except for the transreceiver) is pretty much identical. the processor, memory, etc.
I have also heard the existance of a java v710 firmware(there used to be a similiar rumor for the t720 that ended up being true).

That is a good question.. but why would you just chop off bluetooth functionality from an otherwise identicaly featured phone?

If you want a v710 without bluetooth (a840), who not just get the a840?

well it seams that the a840 will have more functions than the v710(many which where programmed for it, but crippled by verizon). Does any one know if other carriers have the v710 and if they crippled its functions like verizon? If not we could simple flex to their firmware.
