v1710 - recalled for 2nd time this weekend???
I understand that the v710 was recalled a couple of weeks ago due to the camera being off centered (or something like that). The phone then began to appear in my local Verizon retail stores late last week. The first store I called told me they sold out quickly. The second and third stores I called told me that they got them back in but were told to pull them due to defects. They did not tell me what the issue was. If you really need Bluetooth, be advised that the functionality is limited, and not like that of other vendors, at least at this point. Plow through all of the previous posts and you'll see what I mean.
If I were you, I'd try to get Verine to extend your 15 day trial period, IN WRITING, and try to hold out until all of the issues are resolved -- assuming that this will eventually happen. This really is a great phone -- but you should be aware of its present shortcomings before you jump in.
As for the bluetooth, I have heard and read many times about the bluetooth being limited. I don't know how true that is as I have also verified that a) you can create your own ringtones and transfer them using the cable, b) the phone supports SyncML - SyncML is a standard for synchronizing personal organizer data between different devices.
