I know many people are very upset with v710 and its bluetooth issues (including me)...but set that aside, and then what to you think of the phone for clarity and reception?????
Beside the BT issue and poor camera, this is the best phone I think Verizon ever had. Clarity and reception, quality of network, etc.

Here's a little test.
Go into the Phone Finder section of this website and enter some of the higher end features which are becoming the norm in next generation wireless telephony.
I entered as required features:
Bluetooth
Camera
Data-Capable
Expansion Card
Speaker Phone
Of the many phones that sho...

I, like Nitefury, have had several phones, from the startac, timeport, t720, a nokia, the lg4500 etc... and this phone blows them away. as mentioned, the speakerphone is the best one verizon has to offer, the reception is phenomenal, and the transflash card (pix and mp3 transferring) is easy and works perfect. the battery is also great, last 2-3 days depending on how much youre using it (without bluetooth)...and more.
im very happy with the phone
My first phone was the micro tac (huge beast that it was) and i have had motorolas since I loved the star tac because of the size and the reliablity and the 60 series was all right but the t 720 and 30 were crap and i hated every minute that i had to use them -- this phone is the first one that i have enjoyed in a long time.
The reception is better then the land line at my house (oh yeah i don't have one ) but seriously i have only dropped maybe 2 calls on this phone since i got it in july and those were way out in the boonies. All the extra's just make the phone fun and i am sorry for those few individuals who cannot get the phone to work with their cars -- that to me is the only real big bug -- obex would be nice bu...

As a phone with bluetooth headset, it is the best I have had (and I have had three others.) Good reception, clarity, battery life, and best of all is the voice recognition. I don't know why others never mention this because it is a wonderful saftey and convenience thing. You don't have to train it, and you can digit dial just by saying the number. Four years ago I paid a ridiculous amount to get it in a car handsfree built-in unit and was stuck with an otherwise obsolete phone 'til I sold the car. This...

I think the reason this forum is so congested is because of all the features this phone has & all the documentation is crap. Throughout the Motorola manual & the Moto & Verizon website, all it explains is the basic functions of the phone. Nowhere does it go into details about the advanced functionality. I'm satisfied so far with the phone, disappointed in the documentation. Thank God for this forum!!!
ObeyMoto is one of the most useful technologies I've ever used. I use Mobile Phone Tools to sync my contacts to the phone (about 300) and ObeyMoto to name-dial. All without training.
I have the Motorola Bluetooth car kit. It integrates very well with the phone.
Reception is much better than my old Nokia (but it was very old--not sure of the impact of age on this comment). Great speaker phone. And I like the MP3 player. Good battery life.
The only downside (and it's a big problem) is the limited Bluetooth functionality. In a wireless world, I still need a ridiculous c...
