Hey,

I'm trying to decide how I want to get the phone for the lowest possible price. For new every two do you need to have just completed a 2 year agreement or would having a 1 year agreement and having the phone for another year with no contract count?

also what if it hasnt been a full 2 years, im about 5 months short, would they still consider it close enough to 2 years that if I renew my contract they will give me the $100?

How do I know if im eligable for new every two?

Alright so if I can get new every two and get a 2 year contract the phone will be $150, right?

Or should I just get it from Amazon or something with a 1 year contract and get it for about $180.

Any ideas welcome, thanks.

From what I gather, NE2 is pretty strict to the day. Just for the heck of it, I went in yesterday to see, and they said my NE2 would be available Jan. 15 and no earlier.

I'm guessing the absolute cheapest way to get this phone, the safest way, is to use the rebate in conjunction with your NE2, which as of right now would get you at $150. That's what I'm shooting for next month.

I've heard places like Amazon might not be the best solution, although I cannot explicitly answer why. However, some third party places like these offer them up for free, depending on the plan.

That's all I know, hope that helps.

well I i took my chance and went to the verizon store. They gave me the phone for $260 with the $50 rebate.

I was going to use the NE2 but realized you cant use that AND get the phone at the discounted 2 year contract rate and it was cheaper to do it this way so I'm going to be paying $210 in the end. A decent amount more than I was planning (I was going for $150 too), but I was in the store and wanted the phone so they got me.

Now that I have the phone anything I should know? Also I'm going to start a new post for this but figured I'll ask here too.

What do you do with a new phone. Do you charge it for 24 hours or whatever, drain the battery and do it again? or what.

This is my first phone in a couple years so I'm a little behin...

Yes you can, I would go back to VZW and ask them. They can tack on that extra discount within the first 15 days if you're eligable.

Yup, with the rebate and NE2, you should pull out with a v710 at around $150
