v710 Blue tooth Car Kit - Anyone?

Has anyone tried the Blue Tooth Car Kit for the v710? I am toying with the idea of getting for the wife for Christmas but would like some first hand knowledge first.

I have the Motorola Bluetooth car kit and I really like it. I can use the voice dialing feature of the phone (I have over 300 contacts in my phone--directly from Outlook) to make calls. Simple to use.

Drawbacks: I had to get a separate hang-up cup that I occasionally use when reception is bad (need external antenna which is connected to the hang-up cup) or the phone needs charging. I had my installer put it in, but I had to buy a separate car charger to provide power for charging. It would be nice if the Bluetooth car kit supported an optional hang-up cup.

Also, my installer used a special adapter that allows the phone to use my car stereo speakers as the speaker. That's great. The volume controls on my steering wheel adjusts th...

I have the Moto kit in my Benz. It works perfectly. Finds the phone as soon as you start the car. The only drawback: don't try standing just outside the car if it isn't completely off and using your handset as the car kit still has the phone under its spell. But that is a rare situation.

I choose to use the voice recognition in the phone since it is speaker-independent, but the car kit has its own system you can use instead that overrides the phone itself. There is button that is the equivalent of the voice button on the control panel, so you just push it and say your command once prompted.

The installer couldn't interface it to the in-car sound system, but the speaker is fine and unseen. I didn't put anything in the car to hold the ph...

Excellent info . Thanks. IU'm putting it in the wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee and will try and find the adapter for the radio controls.
