Using Mot 810 Headset?

OK, I am experiencing an annoying issue with my BT headset and my V710 that I need some help with. When I push the button on the headset to place a call, sometimes it takes me to the voice recognition menu (which I want) other times it displays the previous call and if I press the button again it connects the call; I can not seem to get to the voice menu. Why does this happen, and how do I get it to go to the voice menu? This has happened with several different headsets. Thanks for any help.

I can't seem to find the owners manual to the 810 right now 😕 but I know if I hold the button on the side of the headset longer than just a quick push it calls the last person I dialed.
