Yukong can you answer something for me

I just got my v710 today from uscc, brand new. i went hope to take a pic and somehow 26% is already used. How is that since i havent even taken a pic yet? Is there anything i can erase to get more memory back.
Also do you have any idea how many pics the phone cna hold?

The memory that is already used is because of the stock pictures and the mp3 ringtones that came on your phone when you got it. Yes, you can erase them (as I did) but my must have a data cable and a program called BitPim. And the cable you need is the one made by Future Dial. It is a USB to Serial cable. I got mine at Radio Shack, but there are some on ebay that are cheaper. Your phone has 10 mb of memory, but some is used by the OS, and then the rest of the used space is made up of the stock pics and mp3s. Removing those will reclaim over a meg of memory. As far as pictures that you can store, a bunch. But if you will go to Bestbuy (or ebay) and buy a 128 mb Transflash Card, they you can store a few hundred pictures depend...
