Results from Flashing
I flashed the VZW 8700_01.40.OR firmware to my v710 using guides from this forum. Tricky instructions, but if you follow ALL the steps, it works well.
I am very pleased with the result. No battery drainage problems, no audio distortion problems, no problems of any sort. Acura TL now shows Signal Strength, Roaming and Battery Status. The Bluetooth HS820 Headset works better -- phone and headset now ring on incoming call. Photos, especially in high resolution, are much better.
I wonder what keeps VZW from releasing this to their stores?
