Yeah my feedback is from taking too long for sending out items because I travel alot. The auction is legit and my software is just like everyone elses who flashed their phone. I just switched carriers and dont need it anymore, so I am selling it. So yes the auction is legit.

So what you're saying is your phone is not fully bluetooth enabled with OBEX. You have to use MPT to xfer your files. You might want to specify this in your auction before you get another negative feedback from an unsuspecting buyer...

Of course there is also no guarantee that the "hacked" flash program will work after a Verizon or Motorola software or firmware update.

So you drop 600 bucks on a "flashed" phone. 2 months from now (or when ever) Verizon sends out a firmware update to patch... say a security hole in the operating system... and what do you know this "unauthorized flash" is disabled.

Happens all the time with Apple and Microsoft computers. Both with legitimate and illlegitimate software.

Case in point. Virex had to pull a update because it interfeared with a Windows and Apple security internet file sharing update. It disabled the built in firewall programing for those operating systems.

There is no way for vzw to disable a software version on a phone. The only thing that may happen is if you took it in for repair they may flash VZW software into the phone.

Umm actually I do along with several others who have flashed their phone. I can transfer pix, movies, ringtones, etc via bluetooth with my phone. Just because I have to use MPT doesnt mean I cant transfer files. People complain about not having bluetooth file transfer for this phone and when someone comes out with the flash they complain because you have to use MPT. What more do you want it to do? You want it to clean your house? Do you want it to cook? I mean cmon guys its a phone. Be lucky that someone came up with the flash in the first place to please the people who threaten to sue Verizon and take them down because they cant do research on the phone in the first place.

It was my understanding that the flash does not have OBEX in it....

Does someone know if it does????

This is not true OBEX. I have the US Cellular v710 phone. I can transfer ringtones, pics, phonebook and all via Bluetooth using Mobile Phone Tools. But that isn't true OBEX. I still can't transfer anything between other Bluetooth devices such as my Palm Tungsten T, or other Bluetooth phones. That would be true OBEX.

Question, if you did both options,
Provisioning (programming)
and the PRL update when you do *228 or *226 whatever, would that wipe out what was enabled on this phone??? If not then I would love to get this done.

Dialing *228 after doing the flash does not disable the any part of the software.
