update software via tf card

is it not possible to utilize the sd flash via tf card? it would seem so because in essence the card is basically a microfloppy. hmmmm

any other constructive comments other than this horses ass? i am just wondering why it is not possible to download the firmware update provided by superdave onto a transflash card and install it onto the phone.

Because the only way to flash this phone is to have it connected to the computer via USB. You can't just copy the file over, it has to be flashed. You need a program such as Motorola PST to do it for you.

It's similar to copying your Windows XP install CD to your harddrive as an image file or actually installing Windows XP on your computer.
