desktop charger and/or extended battery
Is there a desktop charger available for this phone? OEM or not.
Also, what's the story with a larger battery? I heard a while back that a larger one was supposed to come out with a larger back plate to fit it.

You can purchase the desktop charger from the Motorola website. Buy the one for the v710. This charger will also charge an extra battery alone so you don't have to have it in the phone. I also purchased the extra capacity battery for my v710 from a Verizon dealer for $59.99. It comes with a slightly larger back plate for the battery and it fits in my leather case that I also bought at the Verizon dealer for $19.99. You can probably find the battery on ebay but I was very hesitant buying it there. I decided on the Verizon dealer where I purchased my phone. At least I have recourse if something happens to it.
