v710 as Bluetooth modem

I use my v710 to access the internet through VZW's National Access. But I can't plug in the data cable AND the power cable at the same time, so my battery runs out too quick.
To get around this, I bought a USB Bluetooth dongle, figuring I'd connect to the PC via bluetooth, leaving room to plug the power cable in to the phone.
Well, the phone can find the PC, the PC can find the phone, and everybody's happy EXCEPT Verizon's VZAccess Manager software. I can see my phone sending info, but VZW's computers never respond. 😢

Is anyone actually using bluetooth to connect to National Access? If so, how did you do it??

The Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter sets up a modem on a COM port, and seems to work fine.

Also, the Motorola SKN6311B has a slot in the side of the plug where you can plug the regular charger in.

So you can do it either way...

Have you actually done this? Are you using the VZAccess Manager software?
My dongle gets me connected to the pc, and the phone sends data... nothing comes back though.
I'm thinking of trying the old software I used with my Kyocera phone.
